‘Content Creator’: What’s in a name?

For us, this is the job title that disguises a multitude of talents.

Contrary to popular belief, content creating is dependent on so much more than just writing ability, or social media savviness.

Instead, it hinges on a wide and varied skill-set. From photography, to product placement. Web design, to sales. Within the health and nutrition sphere, even recipe innovation falls into the remit…

Yes, make no mistake…there’s some real culinary trial and error going on behind the scenes of all those foodie blogs - something the ‘instagrammer’ and ‘blogger’ stereotype scarcely gives credit to.

Our most recent collaboration with Gradz Bakers, was most certainly a testament to this paddling-beneath-the-surface reality, that we creators have largely to thank for all that deceptively cool, calm content!

In recent times, we’ve learned that video (recipe demos included) make for some of the most engaging and interesting content, allowing creators to take full advantage of tools and platforms such as Stories, Reels and Tiktok.

Without video, content now seems to have the disadvantage of lacking that scroll-stopping appeal, that so much of our one-tap online world is evolving to depend upon.

The need to be all thing things, all the time, admittedly does have some definite ‘Jack of all Trades’ undertones to it… we’ll give the doubters that!

Luckily, however, we’d be inclined to say this is no longer such a bad thing, and especially in the world of content marketing, where keeping ahead of the game arguably demands equal proficiency in Sourdough Tiramisu-making…as it does in pen-to-paper prowess!
