‘We now have the opportunity to start thinking more creatively again when it comes to staging’

One of the aspects of content creation that arguably requires some of the most forethought and planning...is staging!
Before the pandemic, bringing a concept to life visually, was as simple as finding a location, sourcing some props...and away you go!
With the restrictions of lockdown, however, the job of staging became a test of resourcefulness.
Resourcefulness in the sense of space (ie. repurposing homes, gardens and permitted outdoor spaces as studios and locations) and also in terms of concept.
Almost overnight, most of the contexts that might have helped portray a product as relevant, relatable, useful or interesting...became hypothetical!
With restrictions now lifting, however, the opportunity to think more creatively when it comes to staging, is gradually and thankfully beginning to return.
Like many content creators, we’re looking forward to getting back ‘on location’, and being able to create imagery that reflects a freedom to socialise, travel...and picnic in the park with more people than oneself!
After all, as nice as it was to have all the Love Corn to myself when shooting this picnic day feature last month (link below)...this is one snack - and one activity - that was made for sharing!
