‘The advent of ‘unedited’ continues to gain an increasing social foothold!’

There’s a common misconception when it comes to content creation, that pictures always need to be ‘perfect’ in order to be post-worthy.

In fact, there are few instances where the opposite can’t be found to be true, as the advent of ‘unedited’ continues to gain an increasing social foothold.

As a testament to this idea, I’ve penned a little piece on the power that exists in even the most unlikely of ‘thumb-stoppers.’

I’m talking about all those wonky, slightly out of focus, finger-across-the-lense pictures, that a recent subtle shift in the cardinal rules of ‘curated content’, has since afforded a welcome get-out-of-trash card.

The results are liberating, to say this least, and not just because the change has removed the procrastination than invariably used to precede posting.

In addition, (and quite ironically in this case) the freedom to be flippant seems to lend an almost sore-thumb quality to a post, and that - in effect - makes it impossible not to spot above the picture-perfect parapet that most image-based platforms still represent, in the main.
