It’s officially #bloggerday today, and a fitting time to address one of the biggest #bloggerlife conundrums, that I for one am partial to stubbing a professional toe on now and then!
That is, the dilemma of how to show up on Instagram with a writer’s hat on, without actually showing up!
To acknowledge the importance of putting a face to a name, without ever looking directly down a lense!
Fronting reels, posts and blogs forces the often introverted creative types, into territory that doesn’t necessarily befit their personality, but which it is almost a necessity to overcome, in order to make headway in this saturated sector.
After much experience and resistance, I can now accept that the discomfort of posts and reels is far outweighed by the fact that written works can ride on their coattails…with far reaching advantages for the ‘insights’ tab!
In a definite case of opportunity by osmosis, this alone is reason enough for today’s writers to put their ‘back’ into strategic content creation on occasion, even if the cringe of that signature walking twirl…is just a step too far!
