Mental Health
A new health campaign called Time to Change has shown that while the average person has 770 friends on social media, nearly a fifth (18%) wouldn’t feel able to call upon ANY of those friends if we were struggling with our mental health.
The message from Time to Change mirrors that of the I'm All Ears campaign launched by Health online last month, and that is that talking about mental health is essential, but letting people know who they can talk to is equally important.
Many of us don't know who to turn to in order to discuss sensitive issues such as those related to mental health, so revealing yourself as a sounding board can help remove this element of uncertainty and open the lines of communication for more meaningful engagements between friends and family.
